Film sucked. It's for female teenagers to drool over a fictional, one dimensional, boring character. I've seen a lot of vampire films in my day but this shouldn't even be considered as such.
Make up work was atrocious. The mother character of Edward in the film had paint that barely extended to the scalp. At first I was like.. oh maybe its sunblock. NOPE! Just shitting ass work by 11 make up artists in the "professional" field of cinema. make-up.
Apparently the vampires can go in the sun... but OH NO lets not do that.. instead of burning up into flames we might get all shiny and "beautiful" and we defiantly don't want that. I honestly couldn't figure out what the purpose of the effect? Is it to ward off enemies or attract other vampires? Or to attract humans? Who know and who cares.
