My involvement in Luminato 2008 was quite exhausted yet really exciting all at the same time. Working along-side pathways with Regent Park Focus we were able to transform the dirty, dark, "slum" look of Regent Park into a giant canvas of artwork.
Regent Park is an area in Toronto that is the largest project housing community in North America and happens to also be the oldest. So the buildings arnt entirely that all visually appealing. I've been a resident of the area most oup until my adult life.
With all the hardwork everyone involved pumped into the night generating such fantastic ideas and artwork we had made quite a display for the city to see. For the first time Toronto was invited into Regent Park.
I was quite surprised to see walking through regent, a 21+ Foot sized photo of my own face plastered on the walls of a townhouse complex i once i used to live in so many years ago.
